- Medicaid service providers who wish to request a fair hearing regarding the provider's disputed Medicaid reimbursement must first satisfy all applicable contractual and regulatory review processes before filing a request for fair hearing.
- In some circumstances, Medicaid service providers assist Medicaid consumers in requesting a fair hearing for the consumer's Medicaid dispute. At such times, providers are instructed to specify that the hearing is not sought by the provider regarding the provider's Medicaid reimbursement.

Kansas Counties contract with OAH to provide certain fair hearings for patients in the SVP unit of Larned State Hospital. The patient appeals regard laws, regulations, and rules adinistered by the Kansas Department of Aging and Disability Service.
